My pain level was going through the roof so I went to my Dr's and 1 month ago he prescribed for something very different. BuTrans patches, these are very similar to thoughts you'd use to help to stop smoking. These patches are a 5 micrograms/hour you change it once a week. So if your in a lot of pain all the time ask toy Dr about this, my pain level as a but gone and I can get back to some form of life well as much as we can with RA.

Hi,I fully understand level of pain you went through.I myself have been there i ended up with Morphine liquid, Morphine patches, then Morphine slow releasing not forgetting putting ice on swollen joints at the same time, then with help of my compression gloves & hand splints.Ok it depends where the pain is at the time,i have pain in all my joints including my jaw bone when i cannot open my mouth even sucking through a straw is hell.I will ask my G.P.if BuTrans patches will be any help to me.So thankyou for your information most interesting Valerie-R
